The Missions Ministry exists as a way for members of Southwinds to fulfill the church’s calling to spreading the word of Christ. This is fulfilled through three programs: Local Missions, which is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our immediate location in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Domestic Missions, which is sharing the Gospel outside of Fort Wayne but within the borders of the United States, and International Missions, which is sharing the Gospel outside the United States. Prayerfully consider how you can be part of the amazing work that God is doing through Missions at the Southwinds Church. Opportunities and willingness to get involved personally in the Missions Ministry is critical to the success of these programs.
- Propose budget for local and foreign missions (Includes Shults-Lewis Children’s Home)
- Promote communication with our missionaries
- Supervise collections of items for missionaries
- Plan domestic and foreign mission trips
