“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NLT)
This passage is one of the most well known and most often quoted among the writings of Paul. In these words lies the true meaning of love. If we can learn to reflect true love in our lives, we can find happiness and improve the quality of life for everyone we encounter. What would change if we were all patient and kind? How would we feel if our hearts were free of jealousy, boastfulness, pride, and rudeness? Who would we help by not demanding our own way? If you are in middle school or high school, please join us on Sunday mornings at 9:15am in the lower level of the Southwinds building (3410 Dicke Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809). We will continue the mornings’ lessons during ENJOY on Sunday evenings from 4pm to 6pm. This lesson series is sure to offer us more fulfilling relationships and bring us closer to the love God intends for all of us.
